Selling Your Timeshare


  • $395 escrow closing fee (not including title insurance) for timeshare properties located in the United States. Note, for New York projects only the escrow closing fee (not including title insurance) is $450.


  • $495 escrow closing fee (not including title insurance) for properties located outside the United States. Note, for deeded projects in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the escrow closing fee (not including title insurance) is $595. No title insurance option is available on transfers involving properties located outside the United States.

Should you desire to obtain title insurance, the following additional amount will be included in Chicago Title’s escrow closing fee:

The above prices include only fees due Chicago Title Timeshare for customary escrow closing services and do not include any third party fees and charges to the extent applicable (e.g., HOA transfer fees, HOA estoppel fees, recording and documentary fees and taxes, transfer taxes, etc.). Additional fees may apply depending upon the specific requirements of your transaction (e.g., preparation of additional documents, cost to obtain certified copies of required documents, etc.). The above rates are subject to change at any time, including in conjunction with any rate filing made with a regulatory authority.

The typical timeframe for closing a timeshare sale is 30-45 days; however, the processing can be delayed by the timeliness of responses from the parties to the transaction or the resort HOA.


Updating Your Timeshare Ownership


• $350 service fee (not including title insurance) for timeshare properties located in the United States.

• $375 service fee (not including title insurance) for timeshare properties located outside the United States.

The above prices include Chicago Title Timeshare’s customary service fee and the cost to record the transfer deed in the jurisdiction in which the timeshare property is located. Note, once the transfer deed has been recorded and returned to the parties by Chicago Title Timeshare, the parties must notify the resort HOA of the transfer, provide the resort HOA with any required documentation, and pay any applicable resort transfer fees. Additional fees may apply depending upon the specific requirements of your transaction (e.g., preparation of additional documents, cost to obtain certified copies of required documents, cost to obtain recorded copy of deed, etc.).

The typical timeframe for completing a change of ownership transaction is 30 days; however, the processing can be delayed by the timeliness of responses from the parties to the transaction.


Renting Your Timeshare


• $100 escrow rental service fee.

The above price includes Chicago Title Timeshare’s customary escrow rental service fee, which includes facilitating execution of the lease documents and receipt and disbursement of rental proceeds.
